Sovereignty and jurisdiction in cyberspace ?
Speech at the MEDays Forum of the Amadeus Institute.
At the height of his 26 years, under media pressure, Alexandre Benalla would have shown, by his mastery, to all these young high officials who leave the ENA with still milk in the nose “, confides Alain Minc, who found “dazzling” the great, somewhat peculiar oral of the former bodyguard in the Senate.
I wanted to become an entrepreneur to reconcile my three passions: adventure, security and economic intelligence, and Africa ”, he explains. Thus he created last November Comya, a consultancy and security company whose aim is “to facilitate the establishment of foreign companies in Africa by guaranteeing them reliable information which saves unpleasant surprises and reduces the risks of ‘failure”. After the first months of promising activity, Alexandre Benalla displays his ambition to make Comya “a European giant” of security and economic intelligence in Africa, targeting a turnover of 300 to 500 million euros to a ten-year horizon.
I actually founded a company in November 2018 which aims to develop in Africa and the Middle East. The company called Comya Group (www.comya.group) aims to be a global integrator of different security trades by supporting companies and organizations in general. We have a fine understanding of the issues related to security in general, to security, to cyber security and to economic and strategic intelligence through our experience and the ability to approach markets with a specific approach, in partnership with local actors. It is not a question of supplanting the local actors who master the subject but of bringing a know-how and an eye which can be different and complementary, this can go through training and advice.
